A few days ago while pursing the ftp.cis.ksu.edu sight I found an Alien
TNG crossover, this was a well done story, but sadly it was unfinished.
Not being one to finish other peoples work, I sat down a wrote my own.
This is alos the first part of a story set I have been planing for a
bit.

Because this is my first ST story of any kind, I would like to here your
oppions (or flames) on it, E-mail/post, don't matter.

To stop the main complent of Alien fans, no it is not an over sight, it
will all be explaind at the end of the story series.

Now with furter adu, my story.

Side note: this is part one of a series of stories staring, Xavier Bowmen.
This is one of the crossovers that will be in the series, there is one that is
in all of the parts, but will be keep secret. Bonus points to the one who
figures it out first.

Placing note: This Arc takes place in the time after "All Good Things..." to a
bit after "Generations" (I hope)

Aliens, Dimensional Gap : Xavier Arc, Part 1.

Chapter 1

   Ships Log, entry by Caption James Alexander: Stardate 43951.2, The
 Federation has giving us permission to do pulmonary investigation of the
 lone planet that appeared two weeks ago. They are sending the _USS_
 _Enterprise_ to help continue the investigation, they should be arriving in
 about five days. End Log.

   Xavier Bowmen sat at the Opps consul of the merchant ship, _Anne_
 _McCaffery_. They where in orbit abound the Lone Planet, as it had come to be
 know as.
   The turbolifts doors opened and, Tar'kv, the Vulcan Engineer, entered. "I
 have the report on the orbital derbies, sir."
   Caption Alexander looked at the young Vulcan, "What have you found?"
   "They appear to be the remains of five different satellites, three appear
 to be transmitters for the distroyed colony on the surface, one appears to be
 new, and the last appears to be approximately two thousand years old."
   "Can we get any information from them?"
   "Unknown, we have recovered part of the computer core from the newest
 satellite, but it's of a make that the computer can't identify."
   "What have you found out about the colony?"
   "It appears to have been distroyed by a massive nuclear explosion,
 distorying everything in a thirty kilometer radius."
   "Thank you, dismissed." Tar'kv nodded, and left the bridge.
   "Excuse me sir, I think I have found something. I appears to be some kind
 of transmission from the service."
   "Can you trace it?" The caption asked?
   "I believe so, it appears to be from a ship, about two-hundred Kicks from
 the colony."
   "Is the environment safe for humans?"
   "Partly sir, we will need face masks, it appears that that the planet has
 been partially teraformed."
   "Is there a possibility that the people on the ship could have caused the
 distruction of the colony?"
   "That's doubtful sir, it appears that the ship is sending a distress signal
 aimed at a different galaxy."
   The caption though about this for a minute, "Very well then. Bowmen, Tar'kv
 Richfield, Porter, report to the transporter room immediately."
   Xavier slowly stood, his cane in his right hand, his right foot only
 touching the deck on the tip of his tow. "Are you coming sir?"
   "Not this time, If anything happens, I should be on ship when the
 _Enterprise_ arrives. Porter is the senior office, she will lead."
   "Very well sir," Xavier said, and walked to the turbolift, "Transporter
 Room," he said. As the car descend, he leaned against the cane. The reason
 he had a limp was because of a genetic defect, the knee bones of his right
 leg where frozen together, and the mussels had wrapped them selves around the
 bad knee in such a way, that it was impossible to fix it, or implant a new
 knee in any way shape or form.
   Interestingly enough, the cane had acutely helped him get into Starfleet.
 He had show that with the cane, and sometimes without, he as fast, and
 capable as any other applicant, if not more so. He had also show proficiency
 using it in self defense, so much so that his Kingon instructor had been
 impressed by it.
   He had graduated the academy in the normal four years, and spent the
 required four years in Starfleet, in which he rouse to the rank of Lt. After
 which he decided not to re-enlist.
   There was a swoosh as the turbolift doors opened and Sara Porter, the ships
 second in command, entered. She nodded at Xavier and he nodded back.
   A few seconds later the turbolift arrived near the Transporter Room, they
 both exited. Tar'kv and Richfield where all ready waiting. Tar'kv held out
 two face masked, they removed oxygen from the air, and covered the eyes,
 ears, noise, and mouth.
   Tar'kv also handed then each a tricorder and a type one palm phaser, all
 standard Starfleet issue. The four of them stood on the Transporter pad,
 while Hudson energized it.
   The view of the Transporter room devolved, and was replaced by a view of
 the surface of the planet. Tar'kv activated his tricorder, while Richfield
 and Porter removed the phasers. Xavier activated his flash light.
   "This ship is about 30 Meters that way," Tar'kv said, and stared to walk
 in a southerly direction, the others followed.
   In a few minuets the got there first view of the ship, illuminated by the
 starlight, it was large, the main feature was a set of horn, one was shorter
 then the other, and pointed in at its mate.
   "There is an entrance near the base of the ship." The Vulcan said, and
 continued walking.
   The four entered this ship, as they explored it they found a large room,
 in what appears to be a chair, what the mummified corps of some kind of
 humanoid creature, the center of this chest had been ripped out from the
 inside.
   "Looks like a bad case of indigestion," Richfield commented. None of the
 others noticed, they were exploring the large room when Porter called out,
 "Bowmen, come over here." Bowmen did, to discover that she was standing in
 front of a pile of computer parts, hooked up to some kind of generator.
   He flipped open his tricorder, and looked it over. "This appears to be what
 is sending out the distress signal I detected." He took a closer looked,
 parts of the equipment where devolved. He was going to take a closer look at
 it when Tar'kv called out, "I believe I have found something of interest."
   The others joined him, we was standing in front of a large hole in the
 floor, suspend above the hole was a tripod, with a winch attached.
   "Looks like we aren't the first ones here."
   Porter took a closer look at it, "This is Ferengi."
   "Then I guess we see what is down there." Richfield said.
   "A logical suggestion." Tar'kv said, "I believe the wince is designed to
 hold more the one person."
   He was right, hanging under the winch was a large basket. The four got it,
 and Porter started it down. What they found at the bottom was amazing. There
 was a large cavern, the walls over the cavern where covered with a dark
 green, almost black, substance. In the floor was a series of ditches filled
 with some kind of fog, many large round things could be seen though the fog.
   They entered one of the ditches, Tar'kv quickly scanned one of the round
 things, "It appears to be an egg of some kind."
   Xavier bent down to take a closer look, when he did so, the top opened up
 in quarters, he looked in. Nestled inside was some kind of spider like
 creature. It shifted a bit, then jumped out, it skimmed passed Xavier's face,
 and hooked onto Tar'kv. It had broken though the face plate of the mask, and
 the underside was pressed against his face, the things tail had wrapped its
 self around his neck. Bags on the side of the thing started to pulse.
   "Medical emergence," Porter said, activated the communicator inside the
 masks, "four to beam up to sick bay." There was a glitter, and the four
 vanished.
